In a skillet, heat to med/high heat. Once hot add meat and liquid smoke. Heat about half way. Remove the meat.
Add onions, mushrooms and Worcestershire. Saute till onions are soft and starting to get transparent. Add meat back in and finish cooking together, turning meat and stirring onions and mushrooms so not to burn.
When meat is at desired done-ness, plate your meat and scoop onions and mushrooms onto top. Enjoy.
A twist on the normal eggs and toast
- 2 eggs
- 2 pieces of bread
Butter one side of the bread, with a knife cut a 2 inch hole in center and remove. Save center.
In a hot skillet or griddle, place bread butter side down.
Crack an egg into the centers of both pieces and cook for 1-2 minutes then flip.
Cook till desired egg done-ness and serve with bacon. Toast the centers in skillet while cooking the eggs for a circular side attraction with jam.
Spicy mac & cheese with chicken
In a Skillet, cook chicken chunks, house seasoning, Asian sauce till chicken is well cooked. ( using diced tomatoes, wait till chicken is half cooked then add and cook)
If liquid stands in bottom, add the cornstarch or masa flour to absorb(don’t drain or the flavor could be lost in juices).
In a large bowl or pot, add noodles, chicken, nacho cheese and optional another 1 tsp. Asian sauce. Stir till well blended. Pour into a large casserole evenly, then sprinkle the parsley, blue cheese, and mozzarella on top evenly.
Bake for 10-15 minutes on 350 degrees to melt the cheese. Serve.
*Asian Chili Sauce is very hot, do not assume our measurements are too little, only a teaspoon can go a long way. Test it first before adding more than the recipe calls for. J.K.B. does not skimp on spicy.
Creamy shells with fresh Spinach
Cook noodles and drain, set aside in colander.
In same pot, add oil, heat on medium. Whisk together in the oil, seasoning, thyme, garlic, masa flour till paste is smooth and add milk. Whisk till starts to thicken while on med. heat.
Add noodles and coat them well. Reduce heat to low. Place spinach on top of noodles without stirring, cover and let spinach reduce slightly, stir in about 2-3 minutes to keep noodles from sticking to the bottom. Once spinach is reduced to soft, stir together well and sprinkle fine shredded Italian blend cheese over top and serve.
Cook rice separately. Set aside when done.

Spicy Meatballs on ramen.
The Meatballs Ingredients:
Instructions for meatballs:
A deep fryer is best for this recipe, if not use a skillet with oil and turn balls until browned all over. I have a Presto Fry Daddy with a basket and it’s wonderful and very easy to use.
Mix all the above ingredients and mix together by hand till well blended. Form balls about 2-3 inches big, place in fryer for 2-3 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove and drain, set aside till sauce is ready.
While cooking the sauce, soak the ramen noodles in a bowl of hot tap water for 5 minutes, after softened then place in a colander, drain, and set aside till needed.
In a large pot, combine ramen seasoning, tomatoes, water and beef base. Stir and heat to a slow boil.
Add masa, sour cream, Italian seasoning, and garlic. Stir and cook till bubbly and reduce to low heat.
Add meatballs, stirring carefully to coat meat. Heat to reheat meat if needed. Add noodles to mix or reheat noodles if needed and serve meatballs on top of noodles.
Spicy mandarin pork. Simple Asian dish.
Cook Spaghetti according to the box directions.
In a large skillet add 2-3 tbsp. of oil and heat to medium. Once hot add pork, chili sauce, house seasoning, soy sauce. Stirring frequently, cook pork till pink is gone. When looks like it’s done, if there is any liquid standing in the bottom, add the cornstarch or masa flour to absorb the liquid and create a paste. Stir together till well blended and cornstarch is coating all pieces and not visible.
When pork is done, reduce heat and add drained noodles, mandarin sauce stirring till all coated with sauce.
Add spinach and stir carefully to combine. Cover and cook on low/med. till spinach is reduced/soft. Stir occasionally to keep the bottom from scorching.
Serve once heated.
My favorite creation ever. Flower and fruit cart from any farmers market in the old country.
My favorite creation ever. Flower and fruit cart from any farmers market in the old country. This peanut basket has two 6 inch grapevine wreaths attached as wheels. Bamboo sticks used for the cover and raffia and leaves used to cover. Bamboo sticks for the front stand legs and for the axle of the wheels. Fruit and flowers flowing in and around the basket. The little basket at the wheel was attached and filled.
Some flowers created from a job I had once.
Baskets of orchids.
