Categories: What's For Supper?

The Meatballs:

  • 1 lb. ground hamburger
  • 5 links Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 2 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 pkg. ramen noodles, pork flavored
  • 2 tsp. Asian chili sauce.(only 2 tsp. this can be very HOT)
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 sm. onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp. House seasoning

A deep fryer is very good for this recipe, if not use a skillet with oil and turn balls until browned all over.

Mix all the above ingredients and mix together by hand till well blended.  Form balls about 2-3 inches big, place in fryer for 2-3 minutes at 350 degrees.  Remove and drain, set aside till sauce is ready.

The Sauce:

  • 2 seasoning packets from ramen
  • 1 can Italian diced tomatoes
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. beef base
  • 1/4 c. masa flour
  • 3/4 c. sour cream
  • 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder

While cooking the sauce, soak the ramen noodles in a bowl of hot tap water for 5 minutes, after softened then place in a colander, drain, and set aside till needed.

In a large, combine ramen seasoning, tomatoes, water and beef base. Stir and heat to a slow boil.

Add masa, sour cream, Italian seasoning, and garlic.  Stir and cook till bubbly and reduce till low.

Add meatballs, stirring carefully to coat meat.  Heat to reheat meat if needed. Add noodles to mix or reheat noodles if needed and serve meatballs on top of noodles.eBags, Inc.
